JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner has filed this writ petition inter alia seeking the following reliefs:
“i) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction directing the respondents 1 and 4 to close the work accepting the recommendation of respondents 2 and 3 and to relieve the petitioner from the contractual obligations and to settle the bills of the petitioner.
ii) issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction directing the respondents to release the retention amount, security deposit and the balance bill amount of the petitioner at the earliest.”
2. Apparently, the petitioner was unable to carry out the work awarded in his favour on account of various circumstances narrated in the writ petition. According to the petitioner, he had carried out about 60% of the work and the W.P.C.No.10721/2014 2 balance work could not be completed on account of the fact that the revenue authorities had not refixed the road puramboke as directed in Ext.P5 judgment. Hence the petitioner requested to close the work as it is, by issuing Ext.P6. According to the petitioner, by Ext.P7, the Superintending Engineer had recommended closure of the said work.
Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation, I am of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of by issuing the following directions:
Second respondent shall take appropriate action pursuant to Exts.P6 and P7 and settle the obligations of either parties by issuing necessary orders which shall be done within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
