JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. Petitioner has approached this Court seeking to release his vehicles bearing Reg.Nos.KL-3-J-6393 and KL-7/AE-2409 respectively. The vehicles were seized on the allegation that they were attempted to be used for an offence under the Mines and Mineral (Regulations and Development) Act, 1957 and the Minor Mineral Concession Rules.
2. It is needless to state that the petitioner has an option to compound the offence by depositing an amount of Rs.25,000/- each which has been granted by this Court in various cases. Accordingly the writ petition is disposed of as under:
The petitioner is permitted to compound the offence by depositing an amount of Rs.25,000/- as compounding fee and the requisite W.P.(C)No.13231/2014 -:2:-
application with the respondent and on receipt of such fee, the vehicles shall be released forthwith.
