JUDGMENT / ORDER

When this Criminal Original Petition was taken up, the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel for the second respondent, have filed a joint compromise memo dated 27.06.2017, duly signed by the petitioners and the second respondent / de facto complainant, in which it is stated that the petitioners and the second respondent have decided to compromise with each other, considering the need for peace and to concentrate on their respective lives. It is also stated that both the parties have accepted to withdraw all allegations, complaints and the cases instituted against each other and the second respondent herein / de facto complainant has agreed to withdraw the criminal complaint dated 07.11.2016 lodged against the petitioners, in Crime No.912 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent herein. It is further stated that the above compromise has been entered out of free will and without any duress or coercion.
2. Both the parties are present. Their identities have been verified and they accepted the contents in the joint compromise memo as true and genuine.
3. The joint compromise memo is recorded and the same shall form part of this order. In view of the joint compromise memo, the proceedings in Crime No.912 of 2016 on the file of the first respondent, against the petitioners, is quashed, and the Criminal Original Petition is disposed of in terms of the joint compromise memo. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
