The sole prayer of the petitioner is that the election petition being Election Petition No.T- 202117630501853/09/021 (Bachchi vs. Geeta & Ors.) under section 12-C of the U.P. Panchayat Raj Act, 1947 pending in the Court of Sub-Divisional Officer/Prescribed Authority, Sohratgarh, District Siddharth Nagar be decided expeditiously.
Learned counsel for the petitioner has shown from the order sheet that on 13.7.2021 the respondent no.4 i.e. the contesting respondent in the election petition had appeared before the Election Tribunal.
Learned Standing Counsel states that all endeavour shall be made to decide the aforesaid election petition.
Since, the respondent no.4 has appeared, it is, therefore, directed that the Election Petition No.T- 202117630501853/09/021 (Bachchi vs. Geeta & Ors.) be decided within a period of three months from the date of presentation of a copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment. The copy of this order shall be duly certified by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
