JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner claims to be a worker who had been engaged in the work of loading and unloading timber in Erumeli South Village, Erumeli Punchayath. A Referendum is proposed to be conducted by the 2nd respondent on 19.06.2014. The petitioner apprehends that, he would be rendered jobless as an outcome of the Referendum that is proposed. The petitioner along with other similarly situated persons, have set out grievances in Ext.P1 representation which they have submitted to the 2nd respondent. He complains that no orders have been passed thereon till date.
2. Since the grievances of the petitioner are pending consideration of the 2nd respondent, it shall be sufficient that the said authority considers the grievances and passes orders thereon, without delay.
In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the grievances of the petitioner set out in Ext.P1 representation, in accordance with law and to pass orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of three weeks of the date of production of a copy of this judgment by the petitioner. The result of the Referendum shall be suitably modified on the basis of the decision that the 2nd respondent may be take on Ext.P1.
