Petitioner is a retired employee of U.P. State Bridge Corporation. He has approached this Court with the grievance that part of the gratuity payable to him has not been released so far. It is also alleged that arrears of difference of salary from January, 2016 to 30.4.2016 has also not been released even after the 7th Pay Commission Report got enforced. Petitioner further submits that he has completed all formalities but even pension has not been paid.
Sri M.K. Kushwaha, learned counsel for the respondent states that the grievance of the petitioner would be examined by the competent authority expeditiously in accordance with law and dues which are payable to the petitioner would be released without any further loss of time.
In view of the stand taken by the respondents, this petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the respondent no. 1 to accord consideration to the petitioner's claim, noticed above, in accordance with law, by means of a reasoned order to be passed, within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order. The amount which is found due and payable to the petitioner would be released within a further period of six weeks, thereafter. In case such amount is not paid within the aforesaid period, the petitioner shall also be entitled to payment of interest @ 8% per annum. The respondents shall also disclose the head under which the various amounts are paid to the petitioner.
