JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner in Tr.P (C) No.8/2014 is the wife and the petitioner in Tr.P (C) No.66/2014 is her father-in-law. The father of the wife has filed OP (G& W) No.72/2012 on the file of the District Court, Kottayam to appoint him as the guardian. O.P.No.175/2013 on the file of the District Court, Kozhikode has been filed by the father of the husband to appoint him as the guardian. The guardian is sought to be appointed in respect of the two children born in the wed lock. 2. The father of the wife is at Kottayam and the father of the husband is at Kozhikode. Both OP (G & W) No.72/2012 and OP.No.175/2013 have to be tried by one and the same court. Interest of justice would be met by directing both the cases to be transferred to the District Court, Ernakulam. This is because Ernakulam is mid-way between Kozhikode and Kottayam and has better connectivity for the parties to commute.
3. I order transfer of OP (G & W) No.72/2012 and OP.No.175/2013 from the District Court, Kottayam Tr.P (C) Nos.8 & 66 of 2014 2 and District Court, Kozhikode respectively to the District Court, Ernakulam. The transferee court shall issue notice to the parties and take the proceedings to a logical end.
The Transfer Petitions are disposed of.
