Petitioner has not been selected for appointment to the post of Constable as his height has been found to be 167.5 centimetre. This is below the height prescribed under the Rules of 2008 i.e.
168 centimetre. Although learned counsel for the petitioner states that petitioner's height is 168.4 centimetre but such an issue need not be entertained, inasmuch as the determination made under the Rules of 2008 with regard to height attaches finality and the same has otherwise not been shown to be arbitrary or perverse.
Merely contending that petitioner's height is more than 168 centimetre would not be sufficient to discard the presumption of correctness of height determined under the Rules of 2008.
Writ petition, accordingly, is dismissed.
