Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for the State respondents.
The petition has been filed seeking the following relief-
"i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2 to decide Suit No.T- 2017143658041448 (Babau Versus Lakkhu and others) which is pending before him within a specific period which to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court."
It has been stated that a partition suit filed by the petitioner is pending consideration since the year 2017.
Learned counsel for the petitioner admits that till date, only the written statement has been filed and the issues have not yet been framed.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent no.2, Assistant Collector First Class/ Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sadar Jaunpur to endeavour to decide the suit of the petitioner, expeditiously, preferably within a period of eighteen months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
