Heard Sri Vijay Singh Gour, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Pranjal Mehrotra for KESCO and the learned Standing Counsel.
The petitioner, a closed industrial unit claims reimbursement of exempted electricity duty to the tune of Rs.35,81,969/- in the light of notification dated 5.2.2018 and in respect thereof has prefered several representations including last representation dated 21.8.2020 before Respondent no.3, which has not been disposed of till date.
Learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the petition pending, same be disposed of finally by giving appropriate direction to the respondent concerned.
The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.3 or the competent authority, as the case may be, to consider and dispose of the representation dated 21.8.2020 (Annexure-9) or any other representation, as the case may be by reasoned / speaking order, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 6 weeks from the production of this order.
