The petitioner has come up before this Court against the demand of contribution as a principal condition for accepting motor vehicles tax.
2. This Court, by interim order dated 23.02.2012, directed the respondent to receive ₹700/- as contribution to the welfare fund, if tendered by the petitioner, in respect of the vehicle, KL-45D 4996.
3. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the respondent submitted that this case is covered by the judgment of this Court in WP(C) No.2311/2012 dated 09.07.2013, which was later followed by a learned Single Judge in WP(C) No.4194/2014.
Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to continue payment of contribution at the W.P.(C) No. 3932 of 2012 ..2..
rate applicable to light motor vehicles.
This order shall be provisional and subject to any amendment brought to the Kerala Motor Transport Welfare Fund Scheme, 1985.
