… Respondents THE HON’BLE SHRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR CONTEMPT CASE NO.1474 OF 2013 O R D E R This contempt case was filed alleging willful disobedience to the order dated 03.10.2012 passed by this Court in W.P.No.22737 of 2012. By the said order, the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) was directed to provide alternative employment to the petitioner in terms of Section 47 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 along with all benefits due to him in terms of the said provision.
It is now stated by the learned Standing Counsel for the APSRTC that the petitioner was provided alternative employment and the benefits due to him under the statutory provision were also extended to him. A copy of the letter dated 22.02.2014 issued in this regard by the Personnel Officer, APSRTC, Warangal Division, is placed on record.
In the light of the aforestated developments, the contempt case is closed. This shall however not preclude the petitioner from raising his objections, if any, in accordance with law as to determination of the benefits extended to him. No order as to costs.
