THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.18053 of 2014 ORDER :
This writ petition is instituted against the seizure of motor vehicles bearing Nos.AP20-AR-9656 and AP20-AK-1749 on the ground that the vehicles were involved in violation of the provisions of A.P. Excise Act. The petitioners seek release of the vehicles pending confiscation proceedings.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that so far no orders are passed for confiscation of vehicles.
3. Having regard to the aforesaid submissions, the respondents are directed to release the vehicles subject to the petitioners furnishing third party security to the extent of amount quantified by the Assistant Motor Vehicle Inspector.
4. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
