JUDGMENT / ORDER

IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA & THE STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH (Special Original Jurisdiction) WEDNESDAY, THE THIRTEITH DAY OF JULY TWO THOUSAND AND FOURTEEN PRESENT THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE VILAS V. AFZULPURKAR WRIT PETITION No. 19917 of 2014 BETWEEN B.Tulasi Rao and another AND ... PETITIONERS The State of Andhra Pradesh, Rep. by its Principal Secretary (Department of Revenue), A.P. Secretariat Building, Hyderabad and others.
...RESPONDENTS The Court made the following:
ORDER:
Heard.
2. The grievance of the petitioners is that respondent No.2 is calling the petitioners to the police station without there being any crime registered against them nor is their presence required in any investigation.
3. On 16.07.2014, while issuing notice on admission, following interim direction was issued:
“In the meanwhile, the second respondent is directed not to call the petitioners to the police station as no crime is registered against them and their presence is not required in any crime registered, except in accordance with the procedure under criminal procedure code.”
4. Learned Government Pleader has now received instructions from respondent No.2, which states that petitioners were never harassed and threatened; that the police are not interfering with the life and liberty of the petitioners; and that as of now no criminal case is registered against the petitioners in the said police station. It is also denied that petitioners were ever called at the instance of one Nageswara Rao and Ramseshu. He further states that there seems to be a civil dispute between the petitioners and the said persons and police have no role to play in the said civil litigation.
5. In view of the said statement on behalf of respondent No.2, it is apparent that the writ petition is filed merely on apprehension and hence, no further orders are required.
Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
