The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the 4th respondent for illegally extracting, transporting and selling ground water, extracted from S.No. 199/1, (D2, Plot No. 10, 11) S.No. 209/1, Chembarakkam Village, Thiruvallur District, for commercial purposes.

Mr. V.Lakshminarayanan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the 4th respondent is drawing ground water from the said land for commercial purposes and therefore, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents 1 to 3 to take action against the 4th respondent, which has not yet been considered by the official respondents.
3. Mr.S.N.Parathasarathy, learned Government Advocate taking notice for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the respondents 1 to 3 may be directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2017, in accordance with law, after giving notice to the 4th respondent.

Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.03.2017 for taking action against the 4th respondent and pass orders, after giving notice to the 4th respondent, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
