This writ petition has been filed alleging inaction on the part of the State Authorities in not taking action against the illegal mining.
Counter-affidavit has been filed. It is specifically stated in the counter-affidavit that the illegal mining has been stopped.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the statement made in the counter-affidavit is true and that the illegal mining has been stopped.
In the circumstances, we close the writ petition. However, we direct the Government to see that no illegal mining is resumed under any circumstances. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand dismissed. No order as to cots.
