JUDGMENT / ORDER

K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.
The petitioner submitted application for Community Certificate before the third respondent on 23 May, 2017. The writ petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to dispose of the representation as expeditiously as possible.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. We have also heard the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.
3. We direct the Tahsildar, Salem Taluk, the third respondent herein to consider and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner on 23 May, 2017 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. We make it clear the direction issued should not be construed to be an expression of opinion on the merits of the matter. In short, the representation, should be decided in accordance with law and in the light of the settled legal principles in the matter governing the issuance of Community Certificate.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
