Heard Sri Babu Lal Ram, learned counsel for the petitioner. Sri Diwakar Singh, learned counsel for the respondents and Smt. Archana Singh, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.
The instant writ petition filed in public interest, primarily, seeks the following relief:
"(a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to make enquiry with regard to allotment of Pradhhanmantri Awas under the scheme of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana and this Hon'ble Court also be pleased to direct the respondents to provide Awas in favour of legible person under the scheme of Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana related to Village and Post Khopa Police Station Saray Akil District Kaushambi."
Learned Standing Counsel, at the outset, submits that the petition has been filed on vague and general assertions, there is no specific allegation against any of the beneficiary of Pradhanmantri Awas Scheme as to how he or she is not eligible for allotment of house under the said scheme.
On being confronted with this fact, learned counsel for the petitioner was unable to point out any instance of disqualification or ineligibility of any of the allottee under the scheme.
In the circumstances, we have no option but to dismiss the writ petition. Order accordingly.
