1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioners.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:
“(a) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Certiorari quashing the impugned declaration of result dated 24.11.2001 issued by respondent no. 3 which was published in daily news paper “Dainik Jagaran” Allahabad publication on 25.11.2001 (Annexure-6).
(b) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding the respondent no. 3 to not to give effect of the result dated 24.11.2001 issued by him which was published in daily News Paper “Dainik Jagran” on 25.11.2001, Allahabad Addition and declare a fresh result of subsequent date post category vise as result of typists, stenographers and non-typists as it was declared in other districts.”
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
