The petitioner submits that he is owner in possession of the property in dispute but his name has not been recorded in the records of town area. The petitioner to have moved an application on 20.07.2018 bearing register demand no. 91, receipt no. 47 of 20.07.2018, which is still pending.
The only prayer made is to issue a direction to the competent authority to consider the mutation application and take an expeditious decision in accordance with law.
In view of the said submission, we do not find any reason to keep the writ petition pending. The present writ petition is, therefore, disposed of with the following directions:-
1. The petitioner shall submit a fresh application in the nature of reminder to the application dated 20.07.2018 along with the copy of this order within a period of three weeks from today.
2. In case such an application is moved, the respondent no. 4 - competent authority shall be under obligation to deal with the same and take an expeditious decision in accordance with law. It goes without saying that the notice be given to all concerned before taking any decision on the mutation application filed by him.
