The petitioner has purchased 2 Hectares 47 Ares and 67 Sq.Meters property in R.S.No.292 of Hosdurg Taluk, Hosdurg Firka vide registered Assignment Deed No.543/2003 dated 23.3.2004 of the Rajapuram Sub Registry Office. This document was executed on the strength of a Power of Attorney. The petitioner submits that he does not have the copy of power of attorney. Therefore, the petitioner has approached the Sub Registry Officer for getting certified copy of the Power of Attorney. 2. The petitioner being the beneficiary of the document executed on the strength of Power of Attorney, he is entitled for certified copy of Power of Attorney in terms of Section 57(3) of the Registration Act. According to the petitioner, the Power of Attorney was registered as 174/2003 dated 27.11.2003 of Kottayam Principal Sub-Registry Office. The petitioner being the beneficiary of the document, necessarily a certified copy of the W.P.(C).No.26491 of 2014

Power of Attorney has to be issued to him, if a request is made. So there shall be direction to the 1st respondent to issue a certified copy of the Power of Attorney No.174/2003 dated 27.11.2003 of Kottayam Principal Sub-Registry Office. This shall be done within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment after completing all other formalities.
Writ petition is disposed of.
