The petitioners are employees of the 1st respondent Corporation working in the cadre of Inspectors. They claim that they are eligible to be promoted to the post of Assistant Transport Officers. They rely on Ext.P1 judgment passed by this court for claiming seniority in the matter of promotion. It is pointed out that 14 vacancies of Assistant Transport Officers are to be filled up at present. Hence the petitioners have approached the 2nd respondent through Exts.P2 to P4 representations seeking steps for promoting them to the post of Assistant Transport Officers on the basis of Ext.P1 judgment. Since those representations are not considered, this writ petition is filed. 2. Heard; learned counsel for the petitioners and standing counsel appearing for the respondents. the opinion that a direction for an early consideration of the same will suffice to meet the ends of justice.

Therefore this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to consider Exts.P2 to P4 representations in the light of Ext.P1 judgment and to take an appropriate decision with respect to the claim for promotion, if necessary after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners.
4. A decision in this regard shall be taken at the earliest possible, at any rate within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
