According to the petitioner, the second respondent has been excommunicated from participating in the Adi Festival scheduled to be held on 11.08.2017 at Nanjukondapuram Village, Katukanallur, Vellore District.
2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the first and second respondents.
3.Since the petitioner apprehends that there can be some trouble from the third respondent, he has given representation to the respondents on 14.07.2017. Since the Adi festival is scheduled to be held on 11.08.2017, it would be appropriate for the second respondent to consider the petitioner's request for police protection after giving an opportunity to the third respondent also. Since the petitioner's earlier representation dated 14.07.2017, requesting for police protection is already pending, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2017 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on or before 10.08.2017. While passing such orders, the second respondent shall give due opportunity to the third respondent herein or any other persons, who may be connected with the issue involved in the petitioner's representation dated 14.07.2017.
4.With the above direction, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
