1. Heard Sri Saurabh Srivastava, learned counsel for petitioner and Sri Dhananjay Awasthi, learned counsel for respondents.
2. Petitioner submitted an application offering his candidature for award of Retail Outlet Dealership wherein, admittedly, he mentioned wrong Permanent Account Number (hereinafter referred to as 'PAN') card number. PAN card number mentioned by petitioner in application did not tall with photocopy of PAN card, which was appended to the said application and, therefore, his candidature has been cancelled.
3. Learned counsel for petitioner could not dispute that number of PAN Card was wrongly mentioned in the place provided for same in the application form, which is also evident from page 68 of writ petition.
4. That being so, we do not find any error on part of respondents in cancelling candidature of petitioner for submitting incorrect information.
5. Dismissed.
