The office of the Chief Standing Counsel has filed counter affidavit asserting that the copy of the same has been sent to counsel for petitioner by registered post and the registered receipt has also been appended with the counter affidavit. This appears to be absolutely incorrect statement. The reason being, the receipt shows that it has been sent to one Sri M.C. Gupta, Advocate and not Sri M.C. Gautam, Advocate who has filed this writ petition. This is highly improper on the part of the office of Chief Standing Counsel. A copy of the counter affidavit has been served to counsel for petitioner today itself.
As prayed, list after two weeks to enable learned counsel for the petitioner to file rejoinder affidavit.
