Heard learned counsel for the parties.
As it comes out, disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner are pending since 2015.
By way of filing the present petition the petitioner has made a limted prayer to the effect that a writ of Mandamus be issued to the respondents to finalize the proceedings against him expeditiously, which are pending, in pursuance of charge-sheet dated 4th September, 2015.
The prayer made by the petitioner seems to be innocuous in nature.
Accordingly, the respondents are directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings, which are pending against the petitioner, within a period of four months from the date certified copy of this order is produced.
The petitioner is directed to cooperate with the disciplinary proceeding.
In case of failure in conclusion of the proceedings within a period of four months, as directed above, the petitioner would be entitled to approach this Court by filing appropriate proceedings for quashing of the disciplinary proceedings.
With the aforesaid observations/direction, this petition is
disposed of.
