This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the court below to decide J.S.C.C. Suit No.2 of 1998 within a stipulated time.
The suit is of the year 1998.
Considering the facts and circumstances of this case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition at this stage stands disposed of with a direction to the court below to decide the same expeditiously, preferably within a period of one year from the date of production of a certified copy of this order in the light of the judgment of the Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Hameed Kunju vs. Nazim 2017 (8) SCC 611 in which it has been observed that the object of the rent laws all over the State is to ensure speedy disposal of eviction cases between the landlord and tenant.
