JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records pertaining to the F.I.R, in Crime No.2 of 2000, on the file of the first respondent Police and to quash the same.
2. It is represented by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, as well as the learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the first respondent, that the matter has been amicably settled before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre, Madurai Bench of Madras High Court, Madurai.
3. Since, no further orders are necessary in this Writ Petition, this Writ Petition is closed. However, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner had submitted that the petitioner may be permitted to move the appropriate forum to file an application to quash the F.I.R, under Section 482 of the criminal Procedure Code. On such submission being made, it is made clear that it would be open to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings to quash the F.I.R before the appropriate forum, in accordance with law, if it is found fit to do so. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed. No costs.
