The petitioner, a licensed Infrastructure Service Provider complains of indiscriminate issue of stop memos by local authorities against construction of infrastructure facilities undertaken on the strength of building permits issued as per law. According to the counsel for the petitioner Shri. Philip T.Varghese the stop memos are issued whenever public protests arise alleging that such telecommunication towers are sources of health hazards. According to the counsel Exts.P3, P4 and P5 provides a method of redressal for such grievances. However, without resorting to the said remedies, stop memos are issued indiscriminately. The petitioner has therefore submitted Ext.P6 representation to the second respondent. He seeks the issue of appropriate directions for the WPC 31141/2014 2 consideration thereof. The Govt. Pleader appears for the respondents. In view of the limited relief sought, this writ petition is disposed of directing the second respondent to consider Ext.P6 representation in accordance with law and to pass appropriate orders thereon, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within a period of two months of the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
