JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court with the following prayers: “I. To issue writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to disburse the amount of interest on the amount of security deposit for the period between 1.04.2013 to 18.02.2014 at the prevailing bank rate and 19.02.2014 to 11.08.2014 at twice prevailing bank rate (as specified in Clause 17 of the Kerala Electricity Supply Code 2005).
II. To issue a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 forthwith.”
The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, the limited relief now pressed before this Court is to cause Ext.P26 representation dated 19.08.2014 to be considered and finalized by the second respondent within a reasonable time.
2. Heard the learned Government Pleader as well.

W.P.(C). No. 29000 of 2014
3. Considering the limited nature of relief sought for, this Court does not find it necessary to go into the merits of the case. The writ petition is disposed of, directing the second respondent to consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2 representation in accordance with law after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, at the earliest, at any rate, within 'six weeks' from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petitioner before the second respondent for further steps.
