JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. Rule. Mr.Nikunt Raval, learned counsel for Mrs.Kalpana K. Raval, learned counsel waives service of Rule on behalf of the respondents.
2. Considering the issue involved in the present petition, this Court vide order dated 01.08.2012 had issued notice for final disposal.
3. In response to the notice issued by this Court, the respondents have filed their affidavits-in-reply and the petitioner has also filed an affidavit-in- rejoinder to the same.
4. It appears from the record that the petitioner, who is a qualified Civil Engineer, is holding a Plumbing Licence being Licence No.166 since 1991. It appears from the averments made in the petition that the petitioner is also aware that the Rules and Regulations of the respondent-Corporation provide for the licence which has term of 12 months i.e. 1 year. It further appears from the record that the petitioner filed an application for renewal of the said licence on 18.04.2007, 17.03.2008, 22.09.2009 and 27.09.2010 and lastly on 18.05.2012.
5. Ms.Sonal D. Vyas, learned counsel for the petitioner further clarified that all these applications are for renewal of licence for one year during the year in which the said applications have been filed. However, the respondent authorities have not scrutinized the applications and the same are pending.
6. Mr.Raval, learned counsel, on instructions, submits that the applications shall be processed and scrutinized, in accordance with law by the respondent- Corporation latest by 31.01.2013. If on scrutiny is found by the respondent-Corporation that further details and documents are required, the respondents shall inform the petitioner at the address mentioned in the petition latest by 15.02.2013 and after hearing the petitioner, decision upon the five applications which are mentioned in the affidavit-in-reply filed by the respondent in this petition, shall be taken in accordance with law, latest by 31.03.2013.
7. In view of the aforesaid, the petition is disposed of. Rule is made absolute to the aforesaid extent only. No order as to costs. Direct Service is permitted.
