Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Petitioner is working as Junior Clerk in the office of fourth respondent-Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Mau.
By the instant writ petition, petitioner seeks following relief:
"to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, directing the Principal, DIET, Mau to provide the photocopy of the Service Book of the petitioner within the period to be specified by this Hon'ble Court, so that the suitable reply may be given by the petitioner in response to the entry made in the Service Book of the petitioner in pursuance of the warning letter dated 26.04.2018."
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there is no provision to provide photocopy of service book, the employee is entitled to inspect the service book once in a year.
In view thereof, on consent, the petition is disposed of directing the fourth respondent-Principal, District Institute of Education and Training, Mau to permit the petitioner to inspect the service book in accordance with the rules, in case, petitioner makes such an application, within a period of two months from the date of filing of certified copy of this order alongwith copy of the writ petition.
It is clarified that the Court has not considered the claim of the petitioner on merits.
