JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner has approached this Court complaining about the inaction on the part of the Kerala Water Authority in providing water connection to the residence of the petitioner. The application is filed as early as on 07/09/2012, but so far no action had been taken by the respondent authority.
2. Learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent would submit that water connections are being given on priority basis as per the list maintained by the respondents and in accordance with the said priority, petitioner may get the water connection by the first week of July.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that water connection is available in the nearby residence and there is no difficulty in the respondent to provide water connection to the petitioner’s residence as well.
W.P.C.No.14781/2014 2 Having regard to the aforesaid factual situation, this writ petition is disposed of as under:
Respondent shall provide the petitioner with water connection in terms of the application filed by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
