THESE PETITIONS COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING IN ‘B’ GROUP THIS DAY, THE COURT MADE THE FOLLOWING:-

Sri.Danappa P. Pani Bhat, learned counsel for respondent No.5.
In these petitions, the petitioners seek for writ of mandamus directing respondents to pay a sum of Rs.20,00,000/- to the petitioners as compensation on account of the death of their son Abdul Razack due to electric burns caused due to the rash and negligent acts of the respondents.
2. When the matter was taken up today, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted the petitions be disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file a representation to the competent authority with regard to their grievance and the competent authority be directed to consider the representation submitted by them in accordance with law.
3. In view of the submission made and in the facts of the case, the writ petitions are disposed of with liberty to the petitioners that in case a representation is made by them to the competent authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of the certified copy of the order passed today, the same shall be dealt with by the competent authority in accordance with law by a speaking order within a period of four months from the date of receipt of such representation.
4. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
Accordingly, the petitions are disposed of.
