JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner is accused in C.R.No.40 of 2014 of Aryanadu Excise Range, for the offences punishable under Section 8(1) and (2) of the Abkari Act, for alleged possession 5 ltrs. of illicit arrack on 16.05.2014, is in custody since then and seeks bail. 2. The learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application. It is submitted that contraband was seized from the possession of the petitioner. It is also submitted that the petitioner is involved in Crime No.12 of 2012 for similar offence.
3. The learned counsel requested for bail.
4. Having regard to the nature of allegations, materials collected and considering antecedents of the petitioner, request for bail cannot be allowed at this stage.
Bail Appl.No.4064 of 2014 () 2 The application is dismissed without prejudice to the petitioner moving again after the investigation has progressed.
