JUDGMENT / ORDER

IN THE HIGH COURT OF KARNATAKA AT BENGALURU DATED THIS THE 2ND DAY OF APRIL, 2019 BEFORE THE HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE S.SUJATHA WRIT PETITION NO.14259 OF 2019 (EDN-RES) BETWEEN:
Ashish Vikas Nayak Son of Vikas Nayak Aged about 16 years, Residing at No.64, 6th Cross, Beereshwara Nilaya, 1st Floor, 16th Main, 2nd Stage, BTM Layout – 560 076.
Since minor represented by his natural guardian/Father Mr.Vikas Nayak (By Sri.Nishanth A.V, Advocate) AND:
1. Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, 6th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru – 560 003.
Represented by its Chairman.
2. The Director Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board, 6th Cross, Malleshwaram, Bengaluru – 560 003.
... Petitioner 3. The Principal St.Josephs Indian High School, No.23, Vittal Mallya Road, Bengaluru – 560 001.
... Respondents This Writ Petition is filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, praying to direct the respondent Nos.1 and 2 to issue the Hall Ticket to the petitioner for the examinations March/April-2019 notified on 11.12.2018 vide Annexure-D and etc.
This Writ Petition coming on for Preliminary Hearing this day, the court made the following:
O R D E R Learned AGA is permitted to accept notice for the respondents.
2. The petitioner has sought for writ of mandamus directing respondent Nos.1 and 2 to issue the Hall Ticket to the petitioner for the examinations scheduled during March/April-2019, notified on 11.12.2018 in terms of Annexure-D to the writ petition.
3. Petitioner is claiming to be the student of 10th Standard of St. Josephs Indian High School. It is the grievance of the petitioner that no Hall Ticket has been issued to him permitting to appear for the SSLC examination. It is not in dispute that the Time Table for SSLC examination was announced by notification dated 11.12.2018 in terms of which examination commenced from 21.03.2019. That being so, the petitioner has approached this Court today at the fag end of the examination schedule.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that if the petitioner is permitted to appear for the last examination on 04.04.2019, he would be eligible to take up the supplementary examination. It is ex-facie apparent that the petitioner has raised from the slumber at the nth hour seeking for relief before this Court to appear for the examination scheduled on 04.04.2019 albeit not appearing for other subjects. The examination commenced from 21.03.2019. Lackadaisical attitude of the petitioner is manifest. It appears to be a chance litigation. More over, at this stage, it would be causing unnecessary inconvenience to the respondent-department in preparing the necessary documents and finally would be incomplete.
Writ petition is devoid of merits. Accordingly, writ petition stands dismissed.
