Following orders were passed in the matter on 17.4.2018:-
"Petitioner has been duly selected by the Board for appointment to the post of Lecturer (English), pursuant to advertisement no. 2 of 2013. He is aggrieved by the action of respondent no.6 in not allowing him to join. Petitioner in that regard has already represented before the District Inspector of Schools but no decision has yet been taken.
Learned Standing Counsel may obtain instructions from the District Inspector of Schools concerned as to why the petitioner has not been allowed to join, pursuance to placement order passed by the authorities.
Post as fresh on 24.4.2018."
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, as per which petitioner himself is not willing to join in the institution concerned, and his grievance, as raised before this Court, is misconceived.
A letter of petitioner is on record dated 27th March, 2017, which gives an impression to the Court that petitioner was making endeavour to have his placement done in some other institution, and therefore, the objection of respondents that petitioner himself has not joined, may have substance.
In the facts and circumstances, it is provided that in case the petitioner is willing to join, he shall be at liberty to approach respondent no.5, alongwith certified copy of this order, within a week from today. The District Inspector of Schools concerned shall look into the grievance of petitioner and take appropriate steps, as may be warranted in law, within a further period of six weeks, thereafter.
Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
