The instant Public Interest Litigation has been filed with the following prayer:-
"Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of Mandamus directing and commanding the respondents from 1 to 6 for activating legal machinery against the illegal possessors of State Land as mentioned above in this Writ Petition and further it is humble submission of the petitioner that State Land concerned must be evacuated and demolition of illegal construction if any."
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has submitted that statutory remedy is available for seeking eviction of the unauthorised occupants of the Gaon Sabha under Section 67 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006, The Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act and under Section 133 of Cr.P.C.
In view of the above, the instant Public Interest Litigation is dismissed.
