Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
This writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:-
"(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No. 2 to decide the case being case no. T20161666014945 of 2016 (Arvind Kumar Vs. State of U.P. and another) within stipulated time by this Hon'ble Court pending before the Court of respondent no. 2."
It is stated that a declaratory suit under Section 144 is pending consideration since the year 2016. It is also submitted that the case is pending at the stage of oral evidence of the parties.
Under the circumstances, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the suit as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight months from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
