Petitioner's grievance is that he has superannuated on 12.3.2019 but the amount of provident fund due and payable to him has not been released, so far. Various representations made in that regard have not been considered so far, hence this petition.
Sri G.P. Srivastava, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-Bank submits that the petitioner does not appear to have applied in the prescribed format.
Considering the facts and circumstances, noticed above, it would be appropriate to dispose of this petition by directing respondent no.2 to examine petitioner's grievance with regard to non-release of provident fund dues. In case there is any formality required at the level of the petitioner, the same shall be got furnished within a period of two weeks from today. The authority concerned would ensure that the provisions of the Provident Funds Act, 1952 or the applicable scheme in this regard is duly honoured and the amount which is found due and payable to petitioner is released to him, without unnecessary delay.
