1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioners.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:
“A. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS commanding the respondent no. 4 the District Education Officer, Ghazipur to accept and entertain the Application forms of the petitioners and petitioners may be considered for the appointment of Teachers in Primary Schools;
B. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS directing the Respondent No. 4 to call the petitioners who are holding higher B.Ed. Degree, in interview dated 26.11.2002 (which is postponed and likely to held at any time) and to consider the case of the petitioners for the such appointment as Assistant-Teachers in Basic Primary Institutions (run and controlled by the U.P. Board of Basic Education) in case B.T.C. Training holders are not available in requisite number;
C. issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS directing the Respondents to issue appointment orders to the petitioners finally selected.”
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
