JUDGMENT / ORDER

Respondents Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus or any other writ, order or direction in the nature of writ of Habeas Corpus and direct the 2nd respondent herein to secure and produce the detenu namely Lal @ Shankar Lal, Aged about 36 years, before this Hon'ble Court and set him free with liberty.
For Petitioner : Mr.J.Jawahar For respondents : Mr.V.M.R. Rajendran Addl. Public Prosecutor ORDER (Order of the Court was made by S. NAGAMUTHU,J.,) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the petitioner who is the wife of one Mr.Lal @ Shankar Lal, alleging that the respondents taken her husband- Mr.Lal @ Shankar Lal and detaining him in an illegal custody.
2. But, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State would submit that the detenu was remanded to custody in connection with the case in Crime No.54/2017 for offence under Section 397 I.P.C., on the file of the Annamalai Nagar Police Station, Chidambaram, Cuddalore and now, the detenu has been confined in Central Prison, Cuddalore. The said statement is recorded.
3. In view of the above, nothing survives in this petition.
Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
