Supplementary affidavit filed today is taken on record.
It is sought to be brought on record that other heirs of the deceased employee had given their no objection in favour of the petitioner who is the fourth child of the deceased employee.
Soon after death of his father on 04.03.2018, the petitioner moved an application seeking for compassionate appointment. A reminder was sent on 11.02.2019 but there has been no decision.
Sri Rahul Agarwal, learned counsel has received notice on behalf of respondent- Corporation.
Only prayer made in the writ petition is to issue a direction to the respondents to consider the application of the petitioner for grant of compassionate appointment in accordance with the rules.
To this prayer, no plausible explanation could be taken by the learned counsel for the respondents.
In view thereof, without expressing any opinion as to the merits of claim of the petitioner, the present petition is being disposed off with the direction to respondent no.3, Assistant Regional Manager, U.P. Parivahan Nigam Meerut Depot, Meerut to decide the claim of the petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law, preferably, within a period of two months from the date of submission of the certified copy of this order.
