Shri Vishal Kakkar, the learned Standing Counsel appears on instructions and states that the District Magistrate has passed an order dated 20 March 2018 in terms of which he takes the position that the application has to be freshly made by the applicant in light of the amendments made to the relevant rules. Learned counsel for the applicant states that the application shall be duly made by the applicant in this respect.
Accordingly this petition is disposed of with a direction to the applicant to apply afresh under the new format within a period of two weeks. In case such an application is made, the District Magistrate shall consider the same in accordance with law and dispose it of within a period of three months therefrom.
