JUDGMENT / ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to provide adequate police protection during the Kumbabishekam festival of Arulmighu Sri Badrakaliamman Koil, Sangilinadar Street, Udumalpet, Tiruppur District, to be held on 23.01.2017.
2. When this matter came up before this Court on 18.01.2017, after hearing the submissions made on either side, this Court passed the following order:
“This Court heard the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side. The Kumbabishekam is scheduled to be held on 23.01.2017. To have the Kumbabishekam performed amicably, since all the parties are available in Chennai, as an interim measure, they are directed to appear before the Additional Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Chennai, to have a meeting around 5.00 p.m. today (18.01.2017), and the issue be discussed properly and a decision be arrived at related to the scheduled Kumbabishekam and the same shall be placed before this Court on 20.01.2017. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Udumalai Nadar Uravin Muraiyar Sangam, is the objector. Hence, the representatives of the said Sangam, shall also be heard by the Additional Commissioner. Further, the Inspector of Police, the third respondent herein and the officer from Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Coimbatore, who are present before this Court, are also permitted to appear before the Additional Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Chennai.”
3. As per the direction given on 18.01.2017, this writ petition is posted today.
4. Today, the learned counsel appearing on either side, have submitted that after due deliberations and discussions with the Additional Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, the parties have now agreed to have the Kumbabishekam performed amicably on 23.01.2017 and to that extent, they have entered into a compromise. A copy of the minutes of the meeting duly signed by both parties, Inspector of Police, Udumalpet Police Station, Tiruppur District and also the Inspector of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department, Udumalpet, Tiruppur District, has also been produced before this Court and the same is placed on record.
5. In view of the compromise arrived at between the parties to conduct the Kumbabishekam amicably, no further adjudication is necessary in this writ petition and accordingly the writ petition is closed. No costs.
