Heard Sri Sai Girdhar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri N.K. Tiwari, learned counsel appearing for the respondent corporation.
The petitioner has prayed before this Court for restoration of his electricity connection. However, from a perusal for the record, it is found that the petitioner has already approached the District Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum created under the Electricity Act, 2003.
Since the petitioner has already approached the said Forum, it is open for the petitioner to pursue the said remedy and no parallel proceeding can be drawn under article 226 of the constitution. However, it is provided that in case the petitioner files an appropriate application for expeditious relief, the same shall be considered by the Forum in accordance with law.
Subject to the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is dismissed.
