Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.
The petitioner has preferred this petition against the demand of Rs. 2,59,732/- as electricity dues. The Executive Engineer by the impugned order dated 01.09.2018 requested the Collector to realize the dues.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to pay the entire dues provided some reasonable time is allowed or installments are fixed.
The petitioner, for the above purpose, may apply under Section 6.14 of the Electricity Supply Code, 2005 to the Executive Engineer concerned who is competent to grant installment facility.
In view of the above provision, we dispose of the writ petition with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Executive Engineer for the purposes of fixing installments. In case any such application/representation is filed by the petitioner within two weeks from today, the Executive Engineer shall consider and decide the same in accordance with law within the next two weeks.
