Heard learned counsel for the parties.
The grievance of the petitioners in all these writ petitions is that the official respondents were not taking any action against the private party respondent/s who were taking up blasting activities causing damage to their agricultural fields.
While these writ petitions are pending, the learned Government Pleader for Mines & Geology submitted on the last occasion on 9.12.2014 that the Government had examined the matter and after following the due procedure prescribed under law, the quarry leases questioned in W.P.Nos. 27050 of 2014, 26946 of 2014 and 34243 of 2014 were determined by separate orders dated 5.12.2014 and in respect of the quarry lease questioned in WP No. 27017 of 2014 and another, orders of determination are awaited.
Since appropriate action has already been taken against the private party respondents/s by the officials respondents in respect of three quarry leases and it is likely to be taken in respect of other two quarry leases, as stated above, the grievance of the petitioners in these writ petitions does not survive. Accordingly all these writ petitions are disposed of. Miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
