The applicant is an accused under Sections 363, 366, 376, 504 and 506 I.P.C. and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The girl according to the medical report has been found to be 14 years.
I have gone through the material on record and perused the counter affidavit also.
Having regard to the fact that the victim is only 14 years old and is minor, I do not find any ground to grant bail. Accordingly, the bail application is rejected. However, having regard to the fact that the applicant is in jail since 22.12.2014, interest of justice would be subserved by concluding the trial at the earliest. Accordingly, I direct that the trial court may conclude the trial expeditiously, preferably within one year.
The bail application is, accordingly, disposed of.
