JUDGMENT / ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to SC No.63 of 2015 on the file of the learned V Additional City Civil Court and Sessions Court, Chennai and quash the same.
2. Today, both the parties along with their respective counsel on record and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent are present. The identity of the parties has been verified. They have submitted that the dispute between them has been amicably settled. When this Court enquired the parties, particularly, the second respondent / defacto complainant about the factum of compromise, he admitted the same. The second respondent has also expressed no objection in quashing the criminal case pending against the petitioner herein. An affidavit dated 02.03.2017 has been filed by the second respondent to that effect.
3. In view of the same, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed and the criminal proceedings in SC No.63 of 2015 on the file of the V Additional City Civil Court and Sessions Court, Chennai is quashed. The affidavit dated 02.03.2017 filed by the second respondent is taken on record. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
